Asian
Dowitcher

It probes deep into mud with repeated movements of its long, straight bill.

Its grey winter appearance transforms into an orange-red head, breast and upper belly in breeding plumage.

It breeds in northern Asian wetlands and winters mainly around estuaries in Sumatra and Java.
