Oriental
Magpie-Robin

It is the national bird of Bangladesh (where it is known as the doyel or doel), and its image even appears on Bangladeshi currency notes.

In many parts of Asia, they are celebrated for their cheerful morning song and are widely seen as symbols of good luck and prosperity.

They have a distinctive habit of holding their long tails cocked straight up while hopping on the ground or perching in the open.
