Stork-billed
Kingfisher

At 35 to 41 cm in length, it is one of the largest species of kingfisher in the world and the largest kingfisher found in Singapore.

Unlike smaller kingfishers that eat mostly fish, it has a varied menu that includes crabs, frogs, lizards, rodents, and even young birds alongside fish.

It possesses a huge, bright coral-red or scarlet bill that looks like a stork's bill or a tube of lipstick.
