Ibis

White ibises do not use their eyes to find food. They probe their long, curved bills into mud and shallow water to feel for prey using touch.

During the breeding season, the dull orange or pinkish bills and legs of adult white ibises turn a brilliant, deep red.

They are highly social birds. They gather and nest in huge colonies containing thousands of individuals near water.
